Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum

Exploring the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum: A Floating Tribute to American Innovation

Anchored on Manhattan’s West Side at Pier 86, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of New York City’s most thrilling and immersive attractions. Housed aboard the legendary aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, this museum offers a hands-on journey through American military history, aviation, and space exploration—all with stunning views of the Hudson River.

A Museum Like No Other

Commissioned in 1943, the USS Intrepid served in World War II, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War, and even played a role in NASA’s space capsule recovery missions. Today, it’s been transformed into a world-class museum that invites visitors to explore its decks, hangars, and exhibits.
