Cool Culture

Cool Culture is a New York City nonprofit that provides free general admission to over 90 museums, zoos, gardens, and cultural institutions for families with children in Pre-K through 3rd grade. The program is designed to support early learning and family engagement through cultural experiences.

Eligibility

  • Families must have a child enrolled in a participating early childhood program.
  • These programs include Head Start, Universal Pre-K, and select Title I public schools.
  • Enrollment is handled through the child’s school or childcare center, not directly through Cool Culture.

How the Family Pass Works

  • The pass allows free general admission for up to five people.
  • It’s valid until October 31 of the current year.
  • Families present the pass at participating institutions; ID may be required to match the name on the card.

  • Includes major NYC destinations like the Brooklyn Museum, Bronx Zoo, New York Hall of Science, and The Met.
  • Covers a wide range of cultural spaces: museums, botanical gardens, science centers, and more.
