- Congo Gorilla Forest: Walk through a misty, immersive rainforest environment that houses one of the largest breeding groups of western lowland gorillas in North America.

Understanding Ticket Types
The zoo offers two tiers of tickets, which can be confusing for first-time visitors:
- Limited Admission: This base ticket gets you into the park and general exhibits. However, it does not include the zoo’s premium “Star Attractions” (like the Wild Asia Monorail, Congo Gorilla Forest, Bug Carousel, and JungleWorld).
- Bronx Zoo Admission: This all-inclusive ticket gives you unlimited access to everything in the park, including all the Star Attractions.
Chol Hamoed Pro-Tips
- Free Wednesdays: The zoo offers free Limited Admission every Wednesday. You absolutely cannot walk up for this; you must reserve free tickets online. The reservation store opens exactly at 5:00 PM on the Monday before.
- Pacing the Day: The park is enormous and involves miles of walking. Utilize the free Zoo Shuttle (a Star Attraction) to cut across the park when kids get tired.
- Bring a Stroller: Even if your child normally walks, the sheer size of this zoo makes a stroller a lifesaver. You can bring your own or rent one near the entrance.
